New Budgets Established for NH Commission’s Renewable Energy Grant & Rebate Programs

New budgets have been established for the Commission’s renewable energy grant and rebate programs, which are funded by the state’s Renewable Energy Fund.  These budgets are in effect for state fiscal year 2013, which ends on June 30, 2012.

The Renewable Energy Fund (REF) is funded by alternative compliance payments (ACPs) made by electricity suppliers in order to comply with the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard law.  ACPs are the sole source of revenue for the REF.

Under the current state budget, the Commission is authorized to spend $5.67 million in state fiscal year 2013 (July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013).
